Construction Computer Software South Africa, based in Centurion, is a highly successful company supplying estimating and project management software to a large number of local and international construction companies. Thousands of Candy Systems are in use around the world.

Your primary key responsibilities will be:

  • Specialise consulting work around Estimating; QS; Cost and Allowable as well as Cost reports
  • Candy implementation work
  • General consulting work
  • Master development
  • Business process development
Your secondary key responsibilities will be:
  • Technical support
  • Present training courses
  • Assist with marketing and sales
  • Client visits

To deliver the above, you should have the following:

  • A related construction qualification
  • 6-7 years practical experience in the construction industry
  • A good working knowledge of Candy Estimating and Valuations

Senior Engineer
Main KPA's of position - Ensure that the company complies with its contractual and specified obligations in terms of design, engineering and technical performance - Lead and undertake engineering design of transmission lines, steel lattice structures, foundations and components - Review and verify compliance to minimum required standards for steel lattice designs, components, foundation designs and soil nominations - Provide technical support to the operational units - Ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of documented Quality Assurance System to ensure continued ISO9001 registration Must meet following requirements: - Minimum Civil or Mechanical Engineering Diploma or Degree with Structural Engineering - Must be registered as a Professional Engineer - Minimum 5 years relevant experience working as an Engineer in the high voltage transmission line industry either in a large consulting firm or contracting company - Minimum 5 years as a PR Engineer - Experience in managing the technical interface between client and company for project execution - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present technical matters in a clear and professional manner - Proven knowledge of applicable technical laws, standards and specifications - Ability to develop new designs form concept to calculations to drawing and final testing prior to construction / erection - Must be computer literate in MS Office and MS Project - Working knowledge of engineering design software packages e.g. PLSTower, iTower, PLSCadd would be advantageous
